Olive grove tour and Terre di Landro olive oil tasting
The Soul of Our Estate
This tour was craft to let guests experience the true soul of Montesole: the olive grove. Guided among the estate’s olive trees, our guests will discover our family’s agricultural history, the characteristics of Sicilian olive cultivars, and the journey that leads each olive to become Terre di Landro extra virgin olive oil.
During the walk, we will explain cultivation techniques, harvesting methods, the importance of fruit quality, and the role of the olive mill and storage in producing a healthy, fragrant oil.
We will also visit our experimental field, where we grow and monitor 24 different cultivars, both native and non-native.
It is an immersive, unhurried experience, rich in aromas, light, and authentic nature.
the Tasting
At the end of the tour, guests take part in a guided tasting of our oils, learning to recognize aromas, intensity, bitter and spicy notes, and to understand the differences between our productions.
Homemade bread, our preserves, and small local tastings accompany the tasting, making the experience even more complete and enjoyable.
The experience lasts approximately 2.5 hours and costs €30 per person (minimum 2 participants).
